CharCoat has now completed supplying CharCoat 1709 to Cabinda Oil Refinery in Angola.
September 20th, 2025 – Vancouver, Canada / Dammam, Saudi Arabia – CharCoat Passive Fire Protection Inc. has now finished supplying CharCoat 1709 intumescent epoxy fireproof coating and CharCoat CC Coating for electrical cables to Cabinda Oil Refinery in Angola. Protecting all substrates for 90 minutes.

We are especially proud to be involved in this project with Cabinda Oil, as this is the first refinery to be built since independence in Angola a half-century ago, Cabinda Oil will begin producing fuel by year-end and planning 30,000-barrel-per-day.


The majority of applications for Cabinda Oil were protecting pipe racks and tank frames with CharCoat 1709 and of course electrical cable trays through out the facility with CharCoat CC Cable Coating.
