The FM-906 Intumescent Steel Fireproof Coating (water based and Solvent based) and their cementitious counterparts are all now available from CharCoat through our partnership with Rainbow.

FM-906 is BS476; Part 21 approved for Structural steel as well as its solvent counterpart, FM-900. Both intumescent coatings can be installed on steelwork internally and externally up to 120 minute fire rating. This is further enhanced with UL listings.

Further, FM-906, tested under BS476: Part 24 can fire rate Ductwork for 120 minutes at 900 microns Dry film Thickness. This is an ideal solution for a direct coating to stop corrosion on the ductwork as well as save maximum space.

“We are very happy with our new relationship with Rainbow. This adds an amazing fire rated coating to our core products. our clients consistently require a solution for steel and now we are happy to supply not only a Fire Rated Steel Coating, but fire rated Duct Coating all in one pail” Stated Sean Ritchie, Owner and Director of CharCoat.
